I used to drive a lot, myself, and was always drawn to the beautiful hats worn by the ladies driving in shows. I, myself, would wear a “pretty” hat in my dressage tests, saving the helmet for the cross country and obstacles phases.

I never felt at ease, though, and eventually gave up my pretty hat for my helmet, every time.
