There’s something about beach riding.
More than conventional trail riding, beach riding sets you free from daily worries and stresses.
Is it the open space and distant horizon?
The surf and fresh wind?
It was especially precious last week when I joined several friends and strangers (new friends) on the last day for horses on Popham Beach in Phippsburg, Maine.
I was in a rush to get there and didn’t have time to dig my saddle out of winter storage. So I rode bareback.
And as I was hooking up the trailer, I realized the registration expired last month. If I was stopped, I had my plea prepared:
“Officer, please forgive me. Had to get that last beach ride in! Let me go and I will come back to reality and the Department of Motor Vehicles tomorrow!”

That tape sure brought back some memories for me. I had to give up those fun days due to my health going down hill. Thanks for the memories folks.
ha ha...I take it you didn't get stopped with your delinquent trailer tags!! LOL
Is there someone who does rent horse to ride popham beach
