To me a great flannel feels nicer against my skin than silk. It’s sexy and rugged at the same time. And what horsewoman isn’t sexy and rugged at the same time?
I love the substantial feel of this weight of flannel. It works as well by itself on a trail ride as it does layered under a vest to go to town. The relaxed fit allows me to wear a t-shirt or even a long john shirt underneath, but it isn’t too bulky to tuck into jeans either.
It’s a super versatile shirt that well-tailored for our Maine fall and winter weather. For those of you interested in the precise color and plaid, I’m wearing the Stewart grey.
